Monashee Place

In 2010 ground was broken to develop the second phase of senior housing facility for Lumby which was named Monashee Place and officially opened in the spring of 2011. Monashee Place also encourages independent living for seniors living on a limited income and also for people struggling with disabilities living on a fixed income. The Federal and Provincial Governments partnered in funding this creative initiative which once again enabled seniors to remain in their community comfortably and safely, for as long as possible. Monashee Place features in suite laundry and also has front and back doors. The front doors open to the parking lot and the Dogwood Lounge, while the back doors open to a small patio area facing Norris Street.
